Lamonte Thompson, originally from Tampa, began his career in construction after graduating from high school. He worked in residential heating and air for 5 years. In 1996 he relocated to Charlotte, NC where he started his career as a sheet metal mechanic.  Over the past 25 years, Lamonte has led sheet metal installation crews installing systems in hundreds of facilities.  His experience includes, healthcare, data center, industrial and class A office construction.  Within these sectors, he has extensive experience in both new construction and retrofit/replacement.  In 2021, Lamonte started Charlotte Sheet Metal to provide premier sheet metal subcontracting services within the Carolinas.  During his spare time Lamonte, who is a single father enjoys spending time with his daughter. He is a sports enthusiast, loves doing DIY projects around his home and has a passion for cars and motorcycles.
